BGE Smart Energy Savers Program offers up to $900 in rebates for upgrading your HVAC system with new ENERGY STAR-certified heating and cooling equipment. If your heating and cooling equipment is more than 10 years old, it might be time to replace it, and choosing ENERGY STAR-certified equipment can help you improve comfort, reduce energy use and save money.

Potomac Edison Rebates
FirstEnergy (Potomac Edison) offers incentives to Maryland residential customers who are interested in upgrading to more energy-efficient appliances and HVAC systems. Rebates are available on central air conditioners and heat pumps, as well as washers, refrigerators, freezers, and various recycled appliances.
Most appliances are only eligible for one rebate per customer per year. All efficiency and equipment standards on the Potomac Edison program website and booklet must be met to receive rebates. See the program website listed above for more information on eligible equipment and program guidelines. Customers are asked to allow six to eight weeks for processing.
